Lactation advice

Breast-feeding is good for you and your baby. Many women run into problems with simple issues such as care of cracked nipples and positioning. They often get conflicting advice or struggle to find help at all. A Lactation Consultant can avoid or solve many of these issues.

A consultation with the Lactation Consultant takes 1 - 1and a half hours. A written care plan is formulated with the mother.

Phone support is provided by the Lactation Consultant until the problem is resolved. A further consultation can be arranged if necessary. We have contact with the referring Health Professional.
